Raw diet also known as the BARF diet stands for Bones and Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food.
A raw dog food diet consists of uncooked muscle and organ meat, bones, fruits, vegetables, eggs in their natural form etc.
Advocates of the raw food diet suggest that dogs are the healthiest on this diet since this is how they ate prior to being domesticated.
They also claim that commercial pet foods are harmful to pet's health. However, the FDA disagrees with these opinions and the raw food diet remains a controversial topic.
Benefits of the raw dog food diet may include but not limited to:
You can introduce fresh and healthy ingredients to your pets kibble slowly: add egg and organic coconut oil.
You can feed the shell (unbleached) for extra calcium as well.
Remember to feed a little less kibble than usual since you're adding to your dog's meal.
If your dog has allergies, quail and duck eggs are best. Introduce coconut oil (1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of dog weight). Introduce raw food slowly each day, you should not make the raw food switch all at once.

-Kelp powder: helps thyroid function, digestion, reduces allergies and inflammation, improves skin and coat health. Contains Vitamins A, B, D, E, and K, which dogs lack in their diets .
-Spinach: Contains Vitamin K, which helps with blood flow. Spinach also contains Vitamin E .
-Raspberries: Reduces inflammation and improves digestion through the fiber content it contains. These also replenish red blood cells for anemic dogs. Raspberries should be fed in minimal amounts as shown here .
-Pomegranate: source of fiber and antioxidants, helping prevent serious disease such as cancer .
-MCT oil: is a source of healthy fat that improves brain function and increases energy. This also helps fight off viruses, harmful bacteria, and parasites .

Omega-3’s are essential to your pets diet and needs to be added in. What are the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids?
Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, and arthritis.
Omega-3 fatty acids are important for cognitive function, brain memory and performance according to the University of Maryland. Omega-3’s also help alleviate allergies, yeast infections, and other forms of inflammation.
Fish, or properly sourced fish oils, contain omega-3 fatty acids. Flax, chia, and hemp seeds also contain fatty acids. Here is the difference: fish contains the Omega 3’s; EPA and DHA, while flax, chia, and hemp seeds contain ALA. Dogs do not effectively make the conversion of ALA to DHA, they only convert around 20%. .
Dogs need DHA to balance the abundance of omega-6 fatty acids in pet food, which reduces inflammation. Therefore plant-based omega-3’s aren’t able to provide the benefits that marine-based sources do.

Fish can be fed to both kibble and raw fed dogs.
The fish listed are some of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids and are the cleanest to feed because:
1. They are small and less likely to have mercury contamination and other toxins compared to larger fish.
2. They are not large bottom feeders, meaning they don’t eat a lot of junk from the floor of the ocean. Examples of fish to avoid are flounder, eels, haddock, bass, grouper, snapper, and some catfish.
Benefits of feeding fish:
• Shiny coat.
• Helps with dry, flaky skin
• Reduces inflammation (hot spots, itching, allergies, redness, arthritis, and other forms of serious disease)
• Balances out the abundance of omega-6’s that are most commonly found in all kibble and factory farmed meats (an abundance of omega-6 creates inflammation)
• Improves brain function
Always feed the fish raw as cooking the fish become hard, and the omega-3’s are depleted. Also that is when bones splinter, causing a choking hazard to your Frenchie.
Sourcing wild caught fish is preferred. However, avoid feeding salmon from the Pacific Ocean between California and Alaska because there is a parasite found in some salmon along that region.
Ground beef, beef heart, ground rabbit with bone, duck feet, Super Cube, green lipped mussel, and myoglobin.
Turkey neck, pork loin, ground beef, beef heart, bone broth cube, Super Cube (herb+veg), green lipped mussel, and myoglobin cube.
Myoglobin carries and stores oxygen in muscle cells. Myoglobin is deeply pigmented, which is why the more myoglobin a meat contains, the darker (or redder) the meat will be.
Myoglobin is a great source of dietary iron so feeding myoglobin to your Frenchie is very beneficial to them.
“Red meat is comprised of muscles that are used for extensive activity. Remember, myoglobin's role is to help bring oxygen to the muscles, and oxygen is required to give muscles energy” Sources: Michigan State University and Dr. Mercola.

Ingredients:
- Raw goats milk (16 ounces)
- Organic turmeric powder (1/2 tablespoon).
- Cinnamon (1/4 teaspoon).
- Ginger (1/4 teaspoon).
- 1 Blackberry in each square mashed up (omit blackberry for cats). Feed 2 ounces per 20lbs of pet weight.
Benefits:
Helps digestion and decreases inflammation throughout the body. Cinnamon is antibacterial, anti fungal, and helps with joint inflammation. Turmeric is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifier. Turmeric in larger amounts also helps with joint health. Ginger aids in digestion and is an antioxidant as well.
Goats milk contains less lactose than cows milk, therefore making it a better option for any pets with lactose sensitivities. Raw goats milk is digested at a faster rate as well. Pasteurized milk kills the live enzymes and nutrients needed to help digestion. Raw goats milk is a better alternative to pumpkin when aiding in digestion.

A benefit of feeding raw parts with fur is that it helps digestion through the fiber it contains.
“When most people think of fiber, they think of plant fiber. However, the fur, bone, cartilage, tendons and ligaments of prey animals also function as fiber in the intestine of wild canines and felines, and recent research indicates this type of fiber is especially beneficial for cats.” Dr. Karen Becker

Blackberries contain antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. The minerals they contain are manganese, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, fiber and smaller dosses of zinc, iron, calcium, and copper. The main vitamins found in blackberries are C, K and E.
Vitamin C is important for collagen formation in bones, connective tissue, and blood vessels. Vitamin C can help : • Heal wounds.
• Improve skin.
• Fight free radicals (molecules released by toxins) in the body.
• Absorb iron.
Blackberries are also high in fiber. Fiber helps promote regular bowel movements and healthy gut bacteria. Blackberries contain manganese which is vital to healthy bone development and a healthy immune system.
Manganese helps metabolize carbs (from kibble) and amino acids. Like vitamin C, manganese plays a role in the formation of collagen. The enzyme that helps manganese form collagen, prolidase, helps wounds heal properly. Manganese can help prevent decreased bone density, manage blood sugar levels, and reduce epileptic seizures.
One cup of raw blackberries contains:
• 47% manganese
• 50% Vitamin C
• 36% Vitamin K
• 31% Dietary fiber
• 8% Vitamin E
• 7% Potassium
• 7% Magnesium
Feeding directions:

Get bone grinds that are found locally. Then add organ and supplements to the grinds. Grinds are much easier when raw feeding a Frenchie puppy. This method of feeding is more cost effective, quicker to meal prep, and easy train.
Rabbit grinds (meat and bone), ground pork, organ grinds (kidney,
liver, and heart from beef and pork), quail eggs, bone broth, herb blend, Spirulina & mushroom powder, local bee pollen, and vitamin E & D.
A lot of dogs don’t like the texture/smell/taste of raw organs, especially liver.
Instead of skipping the organ portion of their meals (which is essential), blend the organs up with the rest of their meal or freeze the organs into silicone mold cubes.
This masks the texture and smell.
Beef chunks, green tripe, turkey hearts, duck neck, rabbit feet, organ cubes (beef and pork), Super Cube (herbs+veg), and vitamin D & E.

Turmeric paste helps prevent inflammation of the joints, diseases such as cancer, and helps improve overall health by circulating blood flow. Turmeric also promotes heart and liver health, digestion, and it's a natural detox.
This supplement can be fed to both kibble, canned, and raw fed pets.
Instructions: Mix 1.5 cups of organic turmeric powder and 3 cups water into a pot on medium heat for 7 minutes. Then add 4.5 teaspoons of ground black pepper, 3/4 cup coconut oil, 1/16 teaspoon of Ceylon cinnamon, and two spoonfuls of natural peanut butter.

Fur is a great source of fiber. “Fiber is the indigestible part of foods that travels through the digestive system, easing bowel movements.
Dietary fiber refers to nutrients in the diet that are not digested by gastrointestinal enzymes but still fulfill an important role.”
(Dr. Karen Becker).

Most Peanut Butter Contains Aflatoxins (Which Cause Cancer)Don’t know what aflatoxins are?
They’re naturally-occurring mycotoxins produced by a fungus called Aspergillus.
And peanuts have them in spades.
Aflatoxins are one of the most carcinogenic (cancer-causing) substances on the planet … and they can be toxic to the liver. …….fermented foods like yogurt, kefir and RAW goat’s milk are alkaline forming foods. I believe it is better to feed alkaline forming foods separate from raw meat, bone and organs. Green tripe contains probiotics too, yet is acidic……you said chicken eggs cause inflamation, I’m assuming conventional factory eggs do, but I don’t believe thats the case for pasture raised/free range chicken eggs…..
